About Us

Sagebrush Rider is a small team of passionate equestrians. We believed that the stories from Nevada’s horse communities deserved to be told and so we decided to create a place to tell them. Sagebrush Rider launched in March 2018 as a monthly online magazine producing
in-depth stories, news reports, destination spotlights, interviews, events, and more. Sagebrush Rider quickly grew, reaching readers far beyond Nevada’s borders. At the end of the year, Sagebrush Rider transitioned from a monthly magazine to an online news site. We are committed to being the #1 source for information about what is happening in Nevada’s equestrian communities.

Sagebrush Rider’s mission is to raise awareness of equestrian opportunities and services in the state, to highlight and celebrate Nevada equestrians, ‚Äčand to get more people out riding! Our guiding principle is: All Breeds. All Disciplines. All Nevada.

We are a proud member of American Horse Publications.

Horses and photography have been Carol's life. Getting into horses at a very young age, and professional photography as a career, she started out as an equine event photographer.
