The Essential Hoof Evaluation Workshop (Virginia City Highlands)
May 18 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm$100
If you would like to develop your eye to be able to better evaluate your horse’s feet and spot problems early, join Susan Kauffmann, lead author of “The Essential Hoof Book,” for this very special class on Saturday, May 18th, from 1:00-4:00 (could go a little later). Location: Virginia City Highlands
Participants will learn how to look for critical clues about hoof health and form, including balance, hoof angles, concavity, heel height, flaring, signs of laminitis, contraction, sidebone, ringbone, palmar/plantar angles, peripheral loading, and more.
Hoof problems are rampant in the horse world, in part because most of us don’t really know how to tell healthy from unhealthy when it comes to our horses’ feet. Understanding the differences makes you a better advocate for your horse and empowers you to take the best care possible of your horse’s feet.
Cost for the workshop is $100 per person. Class size is limited to six people, as this format allows the greatest interactive learning experience for the participants. Call (775) 847-0547 to register.
