Spring Creek’s Horse Palace Closed Indefinitely

Spring Creek – The Horse Palace equestrian center is closed until further notice. Officials say the closure is necessary to complete a number of maintenance projects on the aging building. The Horse Palace was built in 1973 and features a 1,500 seat indoor arena, bar, and coffee shop. It hosts a number of small and large equestrian events each year.

The Spring Creek Association (SCA), which oversees the Horse Palace, says the building has accrued years of deferred maintenance. “The board completed a study which included structural and civil engineers and overall plan to fix the issues over the next few years including the roof, heat, lights, etc.,” say SCA officials. The Horse Palace’s outdoor areas will remain open.

There is no timeline on the closure. “We appreciate your patience as we work with the community to get this back up and running,” say officials. SCA will refund any passes purchased or events that are schedule. Contact the office at frontdesk@springcreeknv.org or (775) 753-6295 for more information.
