Spring Creek – The Horse Palace equestrian center is closed until further notice. Officials say the closure is necessary to complete a number of maintenance projects on the aging building. The Horse Palace was built in 1973 and features a 1,500 seat indoor arena, bar, and coffee shop. It hosts a number of small and large equestrian events each year.
The Spring Creek Association (SCA), which oversees the Horse Palace, says the building has accrued years of deferred maintenance. “The board completed a study which included structural and civil engineers and overall plan to fix the issues over the next few years including the roof, heat, lights, etc.,”
